WhizQuiz's primary function is as a means for students to self-assess their own learning and to guide them to resources to re-mediate what is lacking. To create a quiz that has the maximum diagnostic and corrective feedback you should take advantage of the following features. Use the GROUP tag to divide the questions into subject groups and include SCORE and HELP tags for each group. This enables the students pick out the particular areas that they are strong or weak in and can lead them to appropriate material to study. Even more precise feedback for a particular question can be specified including feedback based on the particular answer the student submitted (the CORRECT, INCORRECT, and RESPONSE tags), a help or hint link (the HELP tag), and a general information source (the INFO tag) for that question. This feedback can be in the form of text, images, URLs, or a combination.
See Figures 9.1 and 9.2 for examples of feedback on different Results pages.
